Resiliance

Tough Times Don't Last, Tough People Do ~ "They" Say

Everyone is well versed on the importance of focusing on our mental health, finding joy, practicing resilience and… and… and….. But stress is inevitable. Life can suck. But how do ‘they’ suggest we build that toughness, that grit, that resilience to handle it? Are you as a leader struggling yourself or at a loss at how to support your teams? These new, no BS sessions dive into the real struggles we’re all facing—without the fluff—and deliver straight-up strategies to help you and your team not just 'survive'. Oh and it’s okay to laugh—even when life is tough.

Personal (and therefore business) Productivity

Busy is BS

Professionals are technical experts in their fields; they know how to do surgery, teach, weld, or draft legal briefs. It’s what they are good at. Most professionals, however, are not trained in operational efficiency and improvement. Therefore, they waste precious hours daily and weekly on non-value-added work. We have created a society that judges people based on how busy they are versus how productive they are, which drives the wrong behaviors in our workplaces. This session shows attendees how to identify and eliminate non-value-added work so they can get hours back every day and energy can be spent on what truly matters.

Process Improvement

Where's Your Waste?

Unless your organization is consistently mapping and measuring how it works and analyzing its processes, there is at least 25-50% waste in day-to-day operations. Most organizations evolve over time into functional areas. These silos create most of the problems and waste (of time and money) in the critical processes that create value to their customers. With life as unpredictable as it's been over the last several years, and change and challenges the only constant, it's critical organizations know how to evaluate 'how' they do the work, so they are better equipped to redesign in an instant and continue the operational excellence they need to stay relevant.

New Leadership

Are you Old School?

Leadership is such a privilege. How many of us in leadership positions today grew up in a very different time? We had very different experiences, expectations and visions of what work should look like, what success was and how our organizations and teams should function. Many of the leadership and management skills (and yes, they are different) we developed are no longer working, relevant or even make sense. Then again, did a smoking section on an airplane ever make sense? Leading today's generations of teams is a completely different ballgame than when we started out, and upskilling is vital to our success and longevity in business. Please note: This session is also customizable for women-only audiences.

I so appreciated Jennifer's presentation today. Her enthusiasm, encouragement and demand for accountability are inspiring.
